Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea may have been feuding for a while, but both of them are ready to put the past behind them and let bygones be bygones.
It all started at the BET Awards, when Minaj gave a speech and said, “When you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it.” Many people took this as a dig against Iggy Azalea who is rumored to have other people write her lyrics for her.
Minaj claimed that she was not talking about anybody specific in her speech, but fans of both rappers could feel the tension between the two women.
Since the speech, both Minaj and Azalea have both tried to clear up the misunderstanding, and Azalea says that there are no hard feelings between her and Minaj.
Minaj made a series of tweets in an attempt to clear things up.
The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us!

I believe we're smart enough to write down our own thoughts and perspective, just like the men do. I've been saying this for 5 YEARS

I fell in love with Lauryn Hill b/c I knew she was the author behind those amazingly profound and articulated songs on the MisEducation

It's the same reason I have a different level of respect for Missy. I know she's a writer and a producer. Women MUST aspire for more.

I've congratulated Iggy on the success of Fancy, publicly. She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should b proud.

Azalea also posted her opinion on the matter on Instagram.
Both rappers have said their piece and don’t seem to have a problem with each other. Do you think the media has made the issue bigger than what it needed to be or are the rappers just trying to cover up the drama between themselves?
