Back in March, Netflix announced that it acquired Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn series for international streaming, as it debuted on El Rey Network in the U.S.
Today, the company announced that it will make Season 1 available to streaming customers on August 19th.

The show is, of course, based on the film Robert Rodriguez made with Quentin Tarantino in the 90s, starring George Clooney and Tarantino himself.
While this won’t play as a Netflix Original, at least here in the U.S., the company has said that it wants to offer more original horror. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cindy Holland, head of original content, said:
Although Hemlock covers horror and supernatural to some extent, there are several subgenres within those categories that we haven’t reached into yet and would look to explore if the right project came along.
The second season of Hemlock Grove debuts on Friday.
