Natalie Dormer got kissed by Jennifer Lawrence while on the red carpet at the London premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay–Part 2, and now the internet is abuzz with talk about “the kiss.”

When everything settles down, fans will quickly realize that the two aren’t closeted lovers, but rather that the kiss Jennifer Lawrence meant to plant on Natalie Dormer’s cheek went a bit askew.

Jennifer Lawrence was, in fact, trying to place a chaste surprise kiss on Natalie Dormer’s cheek while the two were on the red carpet. Natalie Dormer happened to turn her head at just the right–or wrong, as the case may be–time, causing direct lip contact between herself and Lawrence.

Ever the jokester, Jennifer Lawrence was quit to laugh the situation off.

“Oh my god, we just kissed on camera. And I liked it,” she said to Natalie Dormer.

Shortly thereafter, Natalie Dormer played up the scenario, too. When a reporter mentioned she had lipstick on her face, she replied, “I’ll get Jennifer Lawrence off my face.”

Twitter went a bit crazy following the mistake.
