Capcom today announced that the localization of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (MH3U) will be coming to Nintendo’s Wii U and 3DS consoles on March 19 in the U.S. and March 22 in Europe. The game will also be released as a downloadable title in Nintendo‘s eShop sometime around March 22. A downloadable demo will be coming for the game on February 21.
New details on MH3U were also revealed in Capcom’s announcement. The title will support voice chat for multiplayer via the Wii U. For those who prefer to type, the game supports both a touch screen keyboard on the Wii U GamePad or a USB keyboard.
Unfortunately for fans of Monster Hunter Tri for Wii, the release of MH3U will mean the end of that game’s online play. Monster Hunter Tri’s servers will be shut off on April 30, and Capcom is, obviously, encouraging fans to upgrade to MH3U.
