Louisiana State University (LSU) student Chris Broussard has been missing since early Tuesday morning and his truck was just found Wednesday on Highway 30 in Iberville Parish.
A Baton Rouge Police helicopter spotted the truck in a waterway, and according to St. Gabriel Police Chief Kevin Ambeau, a body was found in the truck. The body has yet to be identified.
A missing person report was filed for Broussard, a senior at LSU, after he didn’t return home from a party or show up at work the next day.
Police said Broussard had been attending a party at a place near campus called Bogie’s Bar and Grill. He then sent his mother, Lisa Broussard, a text message around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning, suggesting he was leaving a party near campus and heading to their home in Ascension Parish.
According to Baton Rouge Police, Broussard was last seen as he left the bar around 1:48 a.m.
Since his disappearance, friends and family have posted fliers on campus and in surrounding areas. They even drove around searching for Broussard themselves.
Now that his truck has been found, and even though the body has yet to be identified, people are posting on Twitter, sending their thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Broussard.
