Miranda Lambert is moving on with her life in the aftermath of her divorce from Blake Shelton. She has even been out on a few dates, according to a friend.

“She has started going on a few dates,” a friend tells Us Weekly of Miranda Lambert, whose marriage to Blake Shelton ended in July after four years. “She’s really enjoying it.”

Unlike Blake Shelton and his new flame Gwen Stefani, however, Miranda Lambert is keeping her dating life relatively quiet.

“Miranda has been on a couple of dinner dates and gone out for drinks,” the source says. “They were just guys she met around.”

Following her split from Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert has made Nashville her permanent home. Is there any better place for a pretty country music superstar to meet guys with similar interests?

Despite Lambert’s friend’s enthusiasm over her new–but rather tenuous–dating life, Miranda provided a much different impression during an recent interview that appears in the January issue of Cosmopolitan.

“I just want to live a life full of everything. Some of that might mean nights on my porch crying, drinking whiskey, and going, ‘Man this sucks right now.’ I don’t necessarily want to know that I have really bad, long, lonely nights ahead of me, but I have had some, and I still have a bunch ahead of me,” she said.

That’s not entirely unexpected. Blake Shelton filed for divorce from Miranda Lambert, so perhaps she wasn’t ready for the marriage to end. Neither has said publicly the reason for the split–at least nothing that has been confirmed.

Hopefully Miranda Lambert will continue to gently dip her toes in the water until she feels comfortable jumping all the way into the dating scene again.
