Miley Cyrus was invited to a high school prom by a young man who even got naked in his video invitation. Fans watched and waited, wondering what her answer might be. Some figured the Wrecking Ball singer wouldn’t give the young man the time of day while others held out hope that she might at the very least get back to him with her regrets. Instead the young woman infamous for her twerking skills surprised them all.

First it’s important to recount Matt Peterson’s invitation.

“I have been a fan of yours from the beginning. You’ve changed my life, and I want to repay you by giving you the best night of your life,” Matt wrote alongside his prom invite.

He then recapped their history together: In 2009, “Mr. Cyrus” (that’s Matt’s nickname) waited outside a KissFM studio at 3 a.m. for a chance to meet Miley—and he did. A few months later she gave him a shout out at her concert.

Towards the end of the clip, he strips down naked with a foam finger and a bouquet of roses.

Well, you have to give the kid credit. He is willing to go to great depths to get the We Can’t Stop singer’s attention.

Miley Cyrus replied to Matt Peterson via a tweet on Saturday.

Kudos to Miley Cyrus for stepping up to the plate for an adoring fan. Most anyone would be thrilled with her generous offer. She has no doubt made this high school boy’s dream come true–and unfortunately has probably encouraged a plethora of prom invites that will likely come her way between now and June.
