Miley Cyrus, actress, songstress, and daughter of the man who brought the word “mullet” into the lexicon, is now engaged to Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth.

The two have been dating for three years now, and Hemsworth popped the question on May 31st with a sparkling Neil Lane diamond. It seems he’s happy to have someone in his life who loves him for who he is and not for his sudden catapult to fame.

“Always remember who was there for you before any of this matters,” Miley told him at the premiere of “The Hunger Games”. “The people who love you for you and loved you from the beginning.”

Both young stars come from a show biz family; Miley is the daughter of country star and actor Billy Ray Cyrus, while Liam shares the spotlight with his two brothers, Chris and Luke (Chris plays Thor in the insanely popular “The Avengers”). The couple have yet to set a date due to their busy schedules, but fans are hoping their shared knowledge of Hollywood will help their relationship in years to come.

Cyrus tweeted a few telling tweets right after the proposal, sharing her happiness with her fans.
