Its no secret that fans love Miley Cyrus, but one fan went to great lengths to make his sentiments crystal clear.

As a matter of fact, his gratuitous effort was so creative, it actually went viral. However, the creative aspect is the fact that he’s already met the singer, not once but twice.

Miley Cyrus fanatic Matt Peterson took to YouTube to get his point across with hopes of his request being seen by the “Wrecking Ball” singer.

The viral YouTube video captures Peterson standing in front of his camera wearing a black t-shirt with the hashtag #TeamMiley on it. His video compiles the brief, special encounters he’s had with the singer to ensure she remembered him.

In the video, Peterson is actually standing in the parking lot of the radio station where he met Cyrus for the first time.

He also included a brief segment of the personal shout-out she gave him at one of her concerts when she noticed him in the audience. At the bottom of the video, Peterson included a brief letter to Cyrus pouring his heart with high hopes that she’d respond.

“Miley, I have been a fan of yours from the beginning. You’ve changed my life, and I want to repay you by giving you the best night of your life. In order to do that, allow me to take you to my Prom on May 3, 2014. I promise you, we will have a great time.. and after our first encounter, I won’t cry on your dress. I hope you will tell me yes when I’m sitting with roses in the 6th row at your BANGERZ tour in Phoenix on Febuary 27th!”

Peterson’s heart-warming request quickly went viral, and it didn’t take long before it caught the singer’s attention. On Feb. 8, Cyrus broke her silence and responded to Peterson via Twitter.

Unfortunately, she informed Peterson that she wouldn’t be able to attend his prom, as the BANGERZ Tour is scheduled to stop in Amsterdam that night. However, she did present a counter offer. Needless to say, Peterson was ecstatic with her response.

Even though Miley Cyrus won’t be going to prom, its definitely safe to say Matt Peterson will be floating on cloud nine for quite some time.
