Megan Fox has learned recently that it’s very challenging being both a mom and a film star. The actress, set to appear on the big screen in August in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is also the mother of two small children and a stepmom to one. Her two with hubby Brian Austin Greene are son Noah, who is almost 2, and son Bohdi, who is 5 months old. Greene also has a daughter named Kassius from a previous relationship. She is 12. These three children mean when Megan Fox goes to work she’s walking that tightrope between motherhood and a career–one that keeps some moms teetering precariously between both worlds–sometimes never knowing in which one they truly belong.
“It’s so hard to be a working mom especially when your heart is not in your work, when your heart is with your family,” Fox said during a recent interview.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is Megan Fox’s first film since 2012 so she is fast learning how to manage that proverbial balancing act.
“It’s total chaos, obviously. Before you have kids you really do not understand how much work it is and how consuming it is. And then you have one and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, my baby is my whole world,’” she said. “Every moment of the day is dedicated to this one baby and then all of a sudden you have two babies! Their needs are so different because Noah is nearing 2 and then my newborn is 4 months. It’s really hard to manage because I also don’t let them watch TV. It’s not like I’m going to sit Noah in front of the television so I can take care of Bodhi.”
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Greene recently bought Bing Crosby’s home for $3.35 million, meaning Fox likely doesn’t work simply for the fun of it, but probably to pay the hefty mortgage that accompanies such a purchase instead.
Megan Fox is sure to figure out the right balance between work and motherhood before long. She’s a mother, after all. And moms learn to do all kinds of things they never thought they had the ability to do–even movie star moms.
