I loved Superman when I was a kid–who didn’t?–but as I became aware of other super-heroes, Clark Kent and his handsome alter-ego sort of faded to the background. And in this new era of comic-book film successes and remakes, I’ve often wondered just how Superman would fare without being extremely cheesy.

But Zack Snyder–of “300” and “Watchmen” fame–put a rest to my worries with this brief teaser trailer. I have to say, I’m fairly excited about it now that I have a bit of visual love to go with the story. Not only does it look free of cheese, it’s also pretty visually appealing without going overboard.
