Three Maine shootings that took place in the wee hours Friday have left two people dead, three injured, and a suspect in custody.
Anthony Lord, 35, of Crystal and Houlton, Maine was arrested Friday afternoon near the Canadian border.
These shootings in Maine stirred up fear in small towns where nothing like this ever happens. Lee, Maine lies about 60 miles north of Bangor. One of the shootings took place there overnight. The other two took place in Benedicta and Silver Ridge.
A command post was set up in Lee, Maine shortly after the shooting in that community. Lee Academy is a secondary school in that town, and it was the setting from which law enforcement officials handled the crimes.

The alleged perpetrators of these Maine shootings is a registered sex offender.
Names of his victims have yet to be announced.

Anthony Lord was discovered at his sister’s home in Houlton, Maine. A woman was held captive following the Maine shootings has been released unharmed.
