Yesterday, Microsoft announced the next step in its attempt to dethrone the iPad: the Surface Pro 2 and the Surface 2. The all new tablets have the same excellent hardware design as their predecessors, but Microsoft is introducing some new elements to mix it up (sometimes quite literally).

In a new interview with Panos Panay, the head of the Surface team talks about how the team went back to the drawing board to reinvent the Surface RT with the Surface 2 and all the improvements being made to the Surface Pro 2.
