Kraft Food Groups, Inc. definitely has their work cut out with their recent mass recall. The company has recalled a variety of Kraft and Polly-O String Cheese and String Cheese Twists products. Kraft released a brief corporate statement of the announcement on Friday. The voluntary executive decision was made after it was discovered that the items in question were expiring before the indicated “best when used by” date. “We’re sorry that these products did not meet our standards and your expectations,” Kraft stated in the release.

The manufacturing and processing conglomerate’s Northfield, IL headquarters has put a halt on all further production and distribution of the products. There are approximately 735,000 cases of affected productions that all have coded dates ranging from Oct. 25, 2013 through Feb. 11, 2014. The company confirmed that the cheese products in question are indeed natural with no added preservatives.

However, it was also reported that the company did notice that the products were already spoiling with distinct discoloration. It has also been confirmed that all of the products involved were processed at Kraft’s food processing plant in Campbell, NY.
