Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick were spotted doing lunch the day before Thanksgiving. Is it possible the longtime Keeping Up With the Kardashians couple is doing more than that?
Not so fast, a source says. Despite lunch at Marmalade Café in Calabasas on Wednesday, and joining the entire Kardashian-Jenner gang on Thanksgiving Day, Kourtney Kardashian isn’t jumping back into the Scott Disick saddle.

“Something has clicked in his head. He’s in a very healthy place, and he’s being a lot more authentic than before,” the source tells People magazine. “He used to give everyone what I call ‘rehab speak,’ where he was just repeating phrases that you know he heard in counseling somewhere.
“These days, he’s being a lot more clear in what he’s saying. He used to always talk about ‘taking responsibility,’ but now it seems like he’s actually taking responsibility by trying to spend time with his kids.”

The source adds that things are better with Kourtney Kardashian, but not necessarily with regard to their relationship. It’s better in terms of communication about their children.
“He’s also talking to Kourtney in a more productive manner. They are talking to each other, not past each other,” the source said. “Will he ultimately end up with her? I’m not sure about that. But at least they’re being healthy as they interact, which is a lot of progress.”
Kourtney Kardashian is likely still leery of Scott Disick’s sobriety, as he has already announced he is hosting a Las Vegas bash on New Years’ Eve. These events rarely go well, although this will definitely be a huge test for him.
Certainly everyone hopes–for the sake of Reign, Penelope, and Mason Disick–that Scott Disick remains sober, but it also seems many are hoping Kourtney Kardashian sticks to her guns this time. He has hurt her more times than most can count, and will likely do so again.
