Klout has launched a new iOS app that reflects the major changes to its service it rolled out earlier this year. If you haven’t looked at Klout lately, it has become something of a social news reader that lets you share recommended content Klout thinks will help you boost your Klout score.

The feed at the heart of this is also front and center in the new app experience.

Introducing the New Klout iOS App from Klout on Vimeo.

“With the app, you now have the ability to discover, enjoy and share this content anywhere, anytime, on the go. As with the desktop experience, the same helpful tags highlight articles that are trending or particularly relevant for your audience,” says Klout’s James Landau. “Klout mobile also enables you to supplement your content with both original photos as well as location information, increasing the likelihood of engagement. You can now share your thoughts and ideas through Klout whenever you have them, not just when you’re sitting at your desk.”

“You can also now claim Klout Perks no matter where you are,” he adds. “For years, Klout users have been receiving amazing products, special discounts, and VIP access because of their influence in certain topics. The new Klout Mobile experience natively embeds Klout Perks, allowing you to easily browse and claim available Perks.”

Android users are going to have to wait a bit, but just a bit. The Android version will be rolling out “shortly,” Klout says.
