Khloe Kardashian has always prided herself in being the tough Kardashian. However, since her recent marital problems with husband Lamar Odom, she is quickly realizing that even the toughest women are not “made of steel”.

The issues with Kardashian and Odom’s marriage has been all over the news lately, with the most recent event being Odom getting arrested for driving under the influence on August 30. For the most part, Kardashian has remained quiet about their personal problems, occasionally taking to Twitter to vent her frustration. On August 25, after rumors continued circulating about Odom’s alleged drug problem, Khloe tweeted: “Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk shit about my family! F*** you and shame on you! I’m too protective for this s***!”

People, including Kardashian, can only take so much, and having all of her problems in the spotlight, is starting to wear her down. On Sunday, Kardashian tweeted: “As much as I wish I were made of steel…I’m not.” She later added: “I’m pretty damn close to it though hehe.”

A source told Us that Kardashian just didn’t seem very happy lately. I could imagine that anyone that was having to try to repair their marriage after rumors of Odom cheating, drug abuse, and now the DUI would not be happy. “Khloe has seemed very unhappy lately,” the source said. “She’s not herself. It’s heartbreaking to see how unhappy she is, because she is in love with him. It’s so sad.”
