Kelly Ripa debuted a new ‘do on Wednesday that just might make for this summer’s big hair trend.
Not one to shy away from trying new things, especially with her hair lately, Kelly Ripa teased the new hair color on Instagram.
Kelly Ripa posted a pic of her smurf-hued hair from the back and teased with a caption that read, “Shady’s back, tell a friend………”

On Thursday’s show, Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan discussed the reaction from Kelly’s hubby, Mark Consuelos.
She explained that the initial result was unpleasant.
Kelly Ripa said, “What’s sad is I get two shampoos and it’s back to normal. This took almost five hours. I wanted to try blue because I wanted to try pink and I really liked it.”
She added, “I wanted to try red and he said, ‘Why don’t we do another shocker?’ We dyed it blue and it turned a lime green … and Mark walks upstairs and he’s like [deep breath]. He’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, you look like the Lucky Charms guy.’”

Kelly Ripa continued, “My sons love it, they think I look like a superhero. I call it Patience Woman, because I have nothing but patience. Mark — I was like, ‘What do you think?’ — and he was like, ‘I like the cut!’ He doesn’t like outrageous hair color, but I don’t care. I’m like, ‘I’m your new wife, Blueberry.’”
