Kelli Giddish, best known for her role as Detective Amanda Rollins on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU, welcomed a baby along with husband Lawrence Faulborn, on Tuesday.

It was a fellow Law & Order: SVU cast mate–Ice-T–who shared word of Kelli Giddish becoming a mom.

Ice-T, who plays the role of Fin Tutuola, posted a photo of his pregnant wife Coco along with Giddish. Coco was holding the new baby.

Kelli Giddish’s baby is likely a boy, although reports have yet to announce the gender. Given the name “Ludo” and the light blue hat he’s wearing in a photo with his dad, it’s a safe bet the baby is a boy.

Kelli Giddish and Lawrence Faulborn just tied the knot in June. It was in July when the couple announced they were expecting.

Kelli Giddish plays opposite Ice-T in Law & Order: SVU. Their characters are on screen partners. Her pregnancy has been written into this season of the show. Two weeks ago, her character admitted to Olivia Benson (played by Mariska Hargitay), who is her superior, that she is pregnant. Kelli Giddish is a single mom on the show. In real life she and Mariska Hargitay are close friends.

It will be fun to see how Kelli Giddish’s pregnancy evolves on Law & Order: SVU. How many twists and turns do you suppose that story line might take?
