And the back-and-forth continues.

Earlier this week we covered the first round of the Twitter battle between Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry, as the whole thing started over a kiss the two shared at one of Cyrus’ Bangerz shows.

Here’s a bit of a recap: While Cyrus was performing last month, out of nowhere, Perry walks up to the stage and finds herself on the receiving end of a big old nasty wet kiss from Cyrus, which caught Perry off guard. Afterwards, the Roar singer said she had no idea Cyrus would attempt to kiss her and she didn’t want it to happen at all.

“I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know as girls do, and then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away,” stated Perry after the incident. “God knows where that tongue has been. We don’t know. That tongue is so infamous.”

Soon after Cyrus replied.

“Girl if you’re worried about where tongues have been, good thing your ex boo is your ex boo, cause we all know where that tongue has been,” the former star of Hannah Montanna tweeted.

Some considered Cyrus’ tweet to be a low-blow since she brought up Perry’s ex-boyfriend John Mayer, and considering the couple recently split, some might say the blow couldn’t be any lower. So it was no surprise that Perry took to her Twitter account to say something back.

“Oooo gurrrl I’m gonna give you the biggest spanking when I see you in the UK bb,” wrote Perry.

Now whether the dark haired singer was being playful in her tweet is unknown, but based on the tone of it, it sounds like she was just fooling around and she really isn’t mad at Cyrus.

But Cyrus did seem to be genuinely upset that Perry said those things about her, as the tone of her tweet didn’t seem to be playful at all. It’ll be interesting to see where this little Twitter spat goes from here.
