Katy Perry has been rumored to be the subject of Taylor Swift’s song, “Bad Blood”, since the song first made its groundbreaking appearance on her album, 1989.
Whether or not Katy Perry is ACTUALLY the subject has yet to be confirmed or denied by Swift herself, but Andy Cohen of Watch What Happens Live! made yet another attempted to get to the bottom of the mystery on Sunday night’s episode.
On that particular episode, Selena Gomez was featured. Of course, Gomez plays the villain and Taylor Swift’s rival in the much-hyped “Bad Blood” video, so of course she would be the person to ask.
However, things didn’t get far when Selena Gomez was asked straight up, during a round of “Plead the Fifth”, whether or not Katy Perry was the real life villian.
In answer to the question, Selena Gomez used her only “plead the fifth” option.

Now, the rest of the game went off without a hitch and actually divulged some pretty good info about Gomez after the Katy Perry question was dodged.
But, the question remains yet. Will it ever be answered?
The Katy Perry question will likely never be cleared up by Taylor Swift, herself.
In an interview with GQ earlier this month, Taylor Swift neither confirmed nor denied the Katy Perry rumor, saying only that it is (probably) about losing a friend.
She said, “You’re in a Rolling Stone interview, and the writer says, ‘Who is that song about? That sounds like a really intense moment from your life.’”
She added, “And you sit there, and you know you’re on good terms with your ex-boyfriend, and you don’t want him – or his family – to think you’re firing shots at him. So you say, ‘That was about losing a friend.’”
She went on to restate that it was, indeed, the loss of a friend. But was it Katy Perry?
The world may never know.
