Kate Winslet sat down to share her experiences in being part of the long-awaited and much-talked about Steve Jobs biopic of the same name.
Kate Winslet plays the part of Joanna Hoffman, one of the original members of Steve Jobs’ Macintosh development team.
The Oscar-winning actress said that the daily 12-hour shifts she took during the filming process made her feel extremely exhausted.
"We worked some ridiculous hours. We filmed in the opera house in the center of San Francisco, which is a functioning opera house, so we'd start at midnight and film until midday. That's pretty gross," Winslet said.
Winslet also added, "I remember saying out loud, 'God, I'm so knackered.' And the props woman, who I knew from a couple of other jobs, said, 'Honey, we're here for a lot longer than you are. And I went, 'Oh my God, you're so right'."
But despite the long hours, Kate Winslet also said that she learned a lot from doing the film. The whole cast had the privilege of meeting their real-life counterparts in the Apple team.

Winslet nervously met Joanna Hoffman to learn her story and her relationship with Jobs. “I loved spending time with her because she shared stories with me about her time with Steve and her relationship with Steve that a lot of people just don’t know anything about,” Winslet said.
“And I actually came to understand a much softer, gentler side of Steve Jobs, a side of Steve Jobs who I think was kept sort of hidden away and private to those people or to his family.”
The film, Steve Jobs, which is based on Walter Isaacson’s biography of Jobs, premiered last Saturday as part of the New York Film Festival.
Winslet, who dressed casually at the special screening Q & A hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, showed up at the premiere in an elegant and sexy black lace dress, and matching black stilettos and earrings.
