Kate Upton knows what she wants in a man and she refuses to settle for anything less.

As a successful super model, Upton can afford to be a little picky and have high standards, but Upton says that when it comes to choosing a guy to date, it’s not about money or good looks, it’s about confidence.

“I think, really, it’s all about confidence – it’s however a guy feels the most confident. And anytime someone walks into a room who is just exuding confidence, I think whatever they’re doing is amazing. I think there is a fine line between grooming when you’re confident and you appreciate yourself, and grooming because you’re insecure. I think some guys try to please what other people think they should look like, instead of knowing how they feel the best in themselves,” she said about her taste in men.

Upton’s desire for confidence likely comes from the fact that she is full of confidence herself. Upton has modeled for numerous makeup and clothing lines including Bobbi Brown and Express. She has also appeared in Sports Illustrated and in numerous commercials and YouTube videos.

Upton says that her confidence doesn’t come from her success but from the fact that she is always herself and doesn’t try to be anything else.

She also said that men who try too hard to impress her or lie about what they do are not the least bit attractive to her and that she would rather be single than be with someone she doesn’t have chemistry with.

What do you think of Upton’s strict rules and standards for her boyfriends? Do you think you have what it takes to date her?
