Karlie Kloss has decided to hang up her Victoria Secret Angel wings after working as an official angel since 2013.
“Karlie is stepping down from her Angel duties,” a source close to the 22-year-old tells People magazine. “She’s got a busy but exciting year ahead and the decision came down to timing. She’ll be focusing on her modeling career, new business opportunities and NYU starting in the fall.”
Vogue announced earlier this week that Karlie Kloss would be attending New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
Fellow model and NYU alum Christy Turlington Burns reportedly wrote a letter of recommendation for the 2014 People magazine model of the Year, and she got in.

While she will need to study, she will continue to strut her stuff on the runway and as the face of cosmetic brands like Kate Spade New York and L’Oréal Paris.
“I’ll still be working full-time,” she said. “I’m incredibly ambitious and have lots of goals within my career that I’m not slowing down on anytime soon.”

People's source said Karlie Kloss has really enjoyed her time modeling for Victoria's Secret in at least four shows and in countless ads.
“She’s loved working with Victoria’s Secret and appreciates all the amazing opportunities the brand has given her to grow as a model,” says the source. “She’s adored working with everyone on the Victoria’s Secret team and all her fellow Angels.”
Even though the source disclosed that she is leaving, Victoria's Secret has yet to confirm the departure of Karlie Kloss.
