Karina Smirnoff announced recently that she would not be returning for the next season of Dancing with the Stars.
This has a lot of her fans bummed. However, she isn’t disappearing entirely.
When Karina Smirnoff made the announcement via Instagram, she said, “After a lot of thought and prayer, I’ve decided to focus my energies on some other exciting endeavors including adding author to my resume.”
Well, the time has come for Karina Smirnoff to go ahead and add author to that resume.
Her new book is out! It’s called We’re Just Not That Into You: Dating Disasters From the Trenches, and it looks awesome.
The thing about Karina Smirnoff’s book is that its premise is familiar to everyone.

Karina Smirnoff said, “Well, we all go on dates, right? We all go on dates whether you’re in a relationship, whether you are looking for Mr. Right. And a lot of times when you’re in the moment and something happens, you kind of sit back and go, like, ‘How did I get myself into it?’”
So true.
The book is co-written by Karina Smirnoff with her manager, Lindsay Rielly. The antics and heartbreak portrayed in the book sound like so much fun to read and just go, “Yep, I’ve been there.”
The book includes stories from the dating lives of Karina Smirnoff and Lindsay Rielly, but it also boasts stories from her colleague, Cheryl Burke, and TV personality and former DWTS contestant Maria Menounos, among others.
Karina Smirnoff’s book even includes advice for those still in the dating game. Like, listen to your instincts.
“A lot of times women go against their intuition. Like, we feel something. We see the red flags. But we are always so hopeful, you know, that we can be the ones,” she said.
And maybe the best part of all, the book has a list of horrible pick-up lines.
Karina Smirnoff shared some of the gems, for instance, ‘“Can I get a picture of you? Because I want to show it to Santa and tell him what I want for Christmas”; “Do you know what my T-shirt is made of? -Of boyfriend material,” and “Do you live in a cornfield? Because I am stalking you.”‘
I can’t believe those were actually spoken.
