  • San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was one of three men named in an ongoing investigation tied to an incident that occurred in a Miami, Fla. hotel back in April.

The other two men were 49ers wide receiver Quinton Patton and Seattle Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette.

Despite having his name connected by the Miami Police Department to the incident, Kaepernick has claimed that he did not behave in an unlawful manner.

The Miami police have just released 911 calls connected to the investigation that may help clear the 26-year-old athlete.

There are two audio recordings that have been made available.

The first call was made by a hotel security officer. The officer said that there was a woman in a hotel room that refused to leave.

“She said her name was Jesus,” the man told the 911 operator, “and she don’t have no clothes on.”

He said that the nude woman was “visiting” the football players and that she was “screaming” and “crying”.

A second audio features a 911 call made by an unidentified male.

“I just wanted to report there’s a young lady in my friend’s bed,” said the male caller. “He’s not here. She’s just laying in his bed. She’s not leaving.”

He said that he and at least one other person informed the young woman that the friend she was waiting for would not be returning. She refused to leave, saying she would not go until she got to see him.

The 911 operator apparently asked if the friend was in a relationship of some kind with the woman because the caller clarified that he was not.

He said, “He’s not her boyfriend. He’s someone she wants to sleep with.”

This audio sheds new light on the ongoing investigation into the matter.

Although there were no accusations in the original incident report, the fact that the woman allegedly woke up naked in the hospital with no memory of how she got there (she’d been transported by Miami Fire Rescue) was seen as suspicious.

Kaepernick is glad that the audio was released and reportedly feels vindicated in the matter.
