Judd Nelson is the latest victim of an internet death hoax, but his agent found a way to prove to his fans that he’s alive and well.

Rumors began to spread online over the weekend that the actor had been found dead in his home, but not only was the story false, it also gave the incorrect address for him.

“Reports of Judd Nelson’s death are not accurate please see attached photo,” Gregg Klein wrote to the L.A. Times, along with a photo of Nelson holding up Sunday’s edition of the paper.

According to Nelson’s reps, he’s in perfect health and can be seen next on the show Empire, which he just finished filming an episode for.

The rumors sent fans flying to Twitter, where they shared the news and looked for answers until word broke that it was just a hoax. Nelson is in good company; Paul McCartney, Morgan Freeman, Cher, and Celine Dion have all fallen victim to the power of the rumor.
