Jennifer Lawrence and Eddie Redmayne discovered recently during a chat for Interview magazine that they share an obsession for reality TV, in particular, The Real Housewives of … well, anywhere.

“I come home from trying to pretend to know about astronomy and physics all day and turn on ‘The Real Housewives,'” Redmayne told Lawrence of his way of chilling out after he filmed scenes for his acclaimed film The Theory of Everything.

Well, that fired up Lawrence, who is a self-proclaimed Real Housewives fanatic.

“Oh my God,” exclaimed the 24-year-old Oscar-winning actress, after hearing his confession. “You watch Real Housewives, Eddie?”

“I’ve been a closet lover of faux-reality TV since The Hills,” Redmayne affirmed.

“I feel like I’m going to cry. We’re making a breakthrough. I went to Pump the other night to meet Lisa Vanderpump [who stars on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills]. I had her sign a bottle of vodka, and when she gave it to my friend who was with me at the Oscars, my friend said, ‘Jennifer, this is so much better than the Oscars!'” Lawrence added. “We took so many pictures with her.”

Lawrence continued to gush over her love of reality TV, saying she becomes quickly “bored” with movies because she can’t deal with anything that is not real.

Does anyone out there want to be the one to clue her in that reality shows are sometimes not all that real either?

“I go back to The Hills,” Redmayne said. “Occasionally Audrina [Patridge] or Whitney [Port] will be on a website that I shouldn’t be looking at, and I’m like, ‘You know, I just want to check that they’re doing all right, because it’s my youth.’ And the depressing thing is that it’s not my youth. I was too old to be watching those programs when I was watching them.”

Lawrence admitted that, at times, the shows enthrall her to the point that she will call off her own real life.

“MTV sometimes plays them for, like, three hours, and that will just turn into my morning. Like, I’ll cancel sh**,” she said.
