  • Jennifer Aniston had one of the most popular hairstyles of all times. One of the things that made it so popular was that it was so casual and something every woman could maintain, or so you might think. Aniston recently revealed that although the “Rachel” hairstyle looked simple, it was actually hard to achieve.

“The ‘Rachel’ was one of the hardest hairstyles to maintain. Me and the blow dryer and the hairbrush weren’t meant for each other,” Aniston admitted. “It really was a ‘hairdo’. When Chris would style it my hair would be great, it would look gorgeous. But then when I was left to my own devices, it wouldn’t look the same!”

Aniston said that she is happy to put that hairstyle behind her and has moved on to more mature styles that are also easier to take care of. As a child she had a hard time finding a hairstyle that was right for her and getting her hair to look good. Now she has finally found one that does not take a lot of time to achieve, but is also easy to maintain.

She even claims that she doesn’t have to wash her hair every day because of her new style and the Living Proof hair products for which she is a spokeswoman. In fact, Aniston said that she only has to wash her hair every other day or sometimes even every three days.

“I don’t get a lot of product build-up with Living Proof and my hair doesn’t get dirty straight away,” she said. “I wash my hair with No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner. And with PHD Styling Treatment I can air-dry and style my hair in 10 minutes, when it used to take 25 minutes.”

Even though she no longer sports the “Rachel,” she still gets her hair cut and styled by the same stylist who gave her the famous cut when it was first popular. Her stylist, Chris McMillan, is happy to give her the cuts and styles she wants now, even if it means he doesn’t always get to choose them.

Were you a fan of the “Rachel” or do you like Aniston’s current hairstyle better?
