As an amateur photographer, I look at Jason Lee’s portraits of his daughters as adorable, brilliant, creative, and, most infuriating, something I wish I’d thought of first.
Lee (not to be confused with Jason Lee the actor) decided to start documenting his seriously cute kids as a way to keep his mother, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2006, up-to-date on their rapid growth without subjecting her to their germs (and as a mom, I understand that kids are little bacteria factories).
I first came across his work on Stumbleupon, where he gained massive popularity after the first batch of his photos went viral. Now, a new set has the internet crowd buzzing over the massively creative ways Lee has captured his daughters on film, where they get into staged mischief that looks convincingly real.
I think the last one is my favorite. The look on the youngest Lee’s face is priceless…and adorable. Did I mention adorable?
