Universal isn’t wasting any time with its Fifty Shades franchise.
The production company has decided to shoot the sequels to Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, back-to-back, according to Variety.
Both Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have already signed on to reprise their roles in the sequels, but their has been some directorial shifts.
Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Wood has left the project, and James Foley will helm the two sequels. Foley most recently directed numerous episodes of Netflix’s House of Cards, but is also well-known for the films Fear, Glengarry Glen Ross, and The Chamber.
Fifty Shades Darker will hit theaters on February 10th, 2017. Fifty Shades Freed is slated for a February, 2018 release.
Gotta get that Valentine’s Day money.
