Jaimie Alexander has a pretty busy schedule these days; so busy, in fact, that she might take a simple wedding at City Hall rather than slow down to plan an elaborate one.
The Blindspot star, who is engaged to actor Peter Facinelli, told Entertainment Tonight that she’s not sure when the wedding will be because they haven’t gotten that far into the preparations. Facinelli, who was previously married to actress Jennie Garth, popped the question in March.
“Oh you know, I actually don’t know. I don’t have time to plan that right now but eventually. Who knows, maybe we’ll just go to City Hall. Make it easy!” Alexander said.
The couple took time out of their hectic schedules to attend the Emmy Awards on Sunday night and showed up on the red carpet with some PDA. Jaimie looked stunning in a floor-length shimmery black Armani Prive dress strung with multi-colored beads.
Jaimie Alexander and Peter Facinelli met three years ago while shooting together on Nurse Jackie, and he proposed on top of the Empire State Building earlier this year. The duo often share photos on social media, including a recent one from “date night”.
Jaimie has found success in the Marvel universe with Thor, but she also earned quite a few new fans with her role on Blindspot. Alexander recently talked about filming the pilot, which saw her covered in tattoos and emerging from a bag in the middle of Times Square with no memory of how she got there.
“It was insane! I went through seven hours of tattoo application, and then, when I came out to Times Square, it was scary. There was not a car in the street, and there was not a person walking around. It almost looked apocalyptic. I thought, “How did we do this? Where is everybody? I can’t believe we were able to do this.” We have no visual effects in the shot, at all. We didn’t paint anything out. We had a very slim amount of time to get all the shots, and we just nailed it. We had a lot of help from the NYPD, and we had 150 production assistants there, just keeping everybody back. Every time I opened the bag and came out, it was intense. It was scary and eerie and epic, at the same time,” Jaimie Alexander said.
