If we believe the rumored time frame, eager Apple fans will be able to get their hands on the new iPhone on September 21st.
And a new report from BGR seems to corroborate that date range. According to a “trusted source” inside AT&T, the iPhone 5 (new iPhone?) will launch during the third or fourth week of September. And AT&T is planning on a rush, as they are also instituting an all hands on deck policy that will last into October. Not only that, but apparently a large training event has been postponed to early October because of a “huge announcement.”
Current rumors put the release on September 21st, and the official press event to unveil the new device on September 12th. Yesterday, we heard that pre-orders for the next-gen iPhone will also kick off on September 12th. That means that Apple is changing it up a bit from last year. The pre-order period for the iPhone 4S didn’t start until a few days after the debut of the device.
Of course, these are all still rumors at this point – but we have heard a fair amount of sources put the release in late September.
