Many 50 Shades Of Grey fans were disappointed when they found out Son’s Of Anarchy Star, Charlie Hunnam would be portraying Christian Grey in the film. Many felt that he did not have the right look or personality for the role. Of course, every fan had their own idea of who would be the best man for the job, but one popular choice for the part was Matt Bomer. It looks like Bomer may have another chance, because Charlie Hunnam has dropped out of the movie.
“The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey,” Universal Pictures said in a statement
Hunnam had expressed fears of letting down the fans of the book and admitted to feeling like he was under a lot of pressure to do well with the role. A source close to Hunnam claims that he was overwhelmed by all the attention he was receiving from the movie and decided to back out.
Bomer hasn’t officially been chosen to replace Hunnam as Christian Grey, but fans are hoping he wil. Most assumed he would be chosen for the part the first time it came up and now that it is available again, Bomer is on every the lips of ever 50 Shades Of Grey Fan.
Universal and producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti will have to choose a replacement quickly if they want to stay on schedule with filming and their release date of Aug 1, 2014. Will they go with the popular vote and choose Bomer or will they choose someone else and disappoint fans all over again?
