Let’s face it–after Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke’s performance at the MTV VMAs in August, we all knew that it would spawn couples costumes come Halloween. And it has–everyone wants the cool topical Halloween costume. What we didn’t expect was to see, however, was a man in his 80s and his significantly younger wife dress up as Robin and Miley, but that’s exactly what Playboy owner Hugh Hefner and his wife did.

Hugh Hefner throws a Halloween party every year at Playboy Mansion and this year was no different–Hefner held his star-studded shindig on Sunday night. Not only did Hefner and his wife Crystal go as Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus, the 87-year-old tweeted photos of the costumes, which has to be the only thing better than the costume itself.

It looks like Hugh Hefner’s Robin Thicke costume was more of a silky pair of prison pajamas than a referee’s uniform, but it’s the effort that counts, right? Take a look at the party video Crystal Hefner posted to her Instagram account:

Neither Robin or Miley have commented on the Hefners’ costumes, but Miley did make a vague tweet earlier today about not worrying about stupid stuff. Maybe it was in regards to the Halloween costume, or it could have been related to some of the constant criticism she gets.
