Holly Holm is living her dream this week as she continues to bask in the glow of her shocking Ronda Rousey knockout.
However, Holly Holm isn’t going to join in the mudslinging.
So Ronda Rousey was super arrogant before their fight and called Holly Holm lots of nasty names.
So she threatened to kick Holly Holm’s a** on Saturday. And the reverse happened.
So what? Holly Holm isn’t gloating.
In fact, Holly Holm wants everyone to leave poor Ronda Rousey alone.
In an interview with TMZ, Holly Holm said that the bullying of Ronda Rousey on social media should stop.
Holm said, “I don’t want any of that to happen.”
Then Holly Holm got in a bit of a passive jab at her opponent, saying, “I do feel like I come from maybe a little more humble spot, but that’s just because I don’t wanna ever say, ‘I’m this good’ or ‘I’m that’ and then have something happen and look like a fool.”
But, Holly Holm said she wouldn’t be where she is without Rousey’s accomplishments.
She said, “Ronda’s been a very dominant champ, and she’s taken the sport to new levels. And this fight wouldn’t have happened if she hasn’t accomplished what she’s accomplished. So I have a lot of respect for her.”
Ronda Rousey will be taking some time off to heal, but she’ll be back and likely calling for a rematch.
No doubt Holly Holm will politely oblige.
