Google is dead set on creating startups around the world to encourage the adoption of new technologies and growth of Internet businesses. Their latest facility is called Campus London and it’s smack dab in the middle of an east London neighborhood called Tech City.

Google choose London as their campus location to help entrepreneurs on their quest to start a new online-focused business. Campus London does that in a spacious seven story facility that’s meant to accomodate the thinkers and innovators of London with a place that provides them with the tools they need to succeed.

It’s said that the UK’s Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Rt. Hon. George Osborn MP, made his way down this morning to launch London Campus. He then took a tour of the facility and saw what the people there were working on. The two examples mentioned were fashion trendsetting Web sites and personalized London leisure guides.

For this space, Google has partnered with Central Working, Tech Hub, Seedcamp and Springboard. The facility will host daily events and regular speaker series. Those who want a little bit of help with their ideas can also hear from experts in the field with lectures and mentorship programs with local Google teams.

On the first day alone, Campus London is at 90 percent capacity with over 100 people. Google says that an additional 4,500 people have already signed up online to visit the facility. For those that do visit, you can expect the three things any startup needs – a cafe, co-working space and high speed Wi-fi.

If you’re interested in checking out the facility, Google has set up a photo tour of the facility. I especially like the LEGO-wrapped welcome desk.
