Google’s Lat Long Blog announced that it’s published updated imagery with higher resolution for an enormous host of locations around the globe in both Google Maps and Google Earth. The full list is at the bottom of this article, but to illustrate exactly how many places got the update, see the images below of different regions of our tiny blue dot. The areas receiving updates have been outlined in red, so if you see red lines around your neck of the woods then you’ll soon be enjoying a higher resolution whenever you want a bird’s eye view of home.
