GoDaddy execs are not exactly the kind of people you’d expect to see running for office. After all, the company has made a name for itself with silly ads. While the company itself may not put on a serious front, those who worked behind the scenes are as serious as can be.

Christine Jones, a former GoDaddy exec, announced that she will be running for governor of Arizona. She became eligible to run for the seat after turning a nominating petition with almost 18,000 signatures. Now that she’s officially in the race, she’ll be looking to succeed current governor Jan Brewer. That comes across well in Jones’ ads as she argues that she is the conservative governor Arizona needs.

Her first ad focuses exclusively on what she calls conservative values. In the ad, she says that it’s her job to defend the Constitution of the United States. She doesn’t exactly say how she’ll protect it, but that can be filled in later. For now, all you need to know is that she’s fighting for the Constitution and that should be good enough for the constituents of Arizona:

Aside from her dedication to the constitution, she explains her plan to improve education in the state. She says she’ll use her experience from working at GoDaddy as Certified Public Accountant to expose and get rid of the waste currently plaguing the public education system in the state:

Of course, you can’t mention Arizona without bringing up illegal immigration as well. It’s a big problem in the state and it hasn’t exactly handled it all that well over the past few years. How does Jones want to handle this specific problem? She says that she will step up security on the border and better enforce the laws already on the books regarding illegal immigrants. She specifically says that those entering the country illegally will not be given “priority” or “amnesty.” Instead, she says that all those seeking citizenship will have to do it the old fashioned way.

While her platform may be what we’ve come to expect from conservative candidates, her time at GoDaddy may just set things apart. She’s web savvy and her campaign web site is already light years ahead of what we see from most candidates. It’s fully interactive and highlights all the important bits from her career and campaign. Even if you don’t support Jones or even live in Arizona, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Speaking of being web savvy, she is also regularly posting images to her instagram account including a little something for the Second Amendment defenders out there:

Jones also has a Twitter account, but she’s going to need to step up her game if she wants to fill Brewer’s Twitter shoes. Jones only has a little over 2,500 Twitter followers at the moment whereas Brewer has over 45,000. If she does become governor, her follower count will undoubtedly rise.

Jones will be running in this year’s election that’s set to take place in November. At that time, we’ll find out if her conservative values appeal to those who voted for Brewer back in 2010.
