  • Felicia Day, creator of the popular web series The Guild, will host a marathon 12-hour Google+ Hangout on April 1 to support the launch of a new YouTube channel, Geek and Sundry. The Hangout is a subscription drive for the YouTube channel, which will be home to geeky shows hosted by well-known (to the internet) “ceWEBrities”.

Here is the YouTube video Day posted announcing the Hangout:

Geek & Sundry will launch its premium YouTube channel on April 2 and feature new episodes almost every weekday. The schedule for the channel has been set, and you can catch these shows starting next week:

    Mondays:

The Flog – Felicia Day’s video blog that will follow her exploration of nerdy hobbies and experiences.

    Tuesdays:

The Guild – Felicia Day’s award-winning comedy web series about an mmo guild. The fifth season starts April 10.

    Wednesdays:

Dark Horse Motion Comics – Dark Horse Comics brings their indie comics to life with motion graphic techniques.

    Fridays:

Tabletop – Will Wheaton hosts a group of geeks who learn and play a new tabletop game every week.
      &
Sword and Laser – The popular sci-fi and fantasy book club podcast brought to video, hosted by Tom Merritt and Veronica Belmont.

In addition, a show called Written by a Kid will premiere on July 16 and air every Wednesday. The show features sci-fi, fantasy, and horror stories told by children and made into live-action and animated shorts. Also, on Thursday April 5, new, exclusive, extra content from The Guild will premiere on the channel.
