Farrah Abraham, the former “Teen Mom” who released a pornographic film last year with a professional porn actor, says she now regrets doing it even though she felt very differently at the time.
Abraham says the tape made it difficult for her to trust people and that now, the thought of thousands of people watching her during her most intimate moments is hard to take.
“It made it hard to have friends and a private life and to trust family, who I feel use me for money,” Farrah said in an interview with In Touch. “If I went back in time, I would not have done it. The sex tape ruined my life…Knowing my sex tape was out there for everyone in the world to see … was overwhelming. I wanted to hide my face and not go out or pick up my phone.”
The decision to release a porno also affected her love life, as the man she was seeing left her soon after its release. Abraham says that now, after attending therapy, she’s changed the way she feels about herself.
“Therapy helped me understand I can’t continue experiencing life [the way I had been], that I’m more special than sex tapes,” she said. “Hearing others tell me my worth is [all based on] my body. … I’m stronger than that.”
The therapy sessions were actually part of VH1’s “Couples Therapy”, which Abraham says she was supposed to be a part of with ex-boyfriend Brian Dawe before he left her. However, fellow “Teen Mom” Jenelle Evans says that’s not true, and that Abraham faked the entire thing just for a few extra minutes of air time.
