Facebook launched embeddable posts in beta back in July, but while the company was working out the kinks they only opened them up to a handful of publishers.
Starting today, all publishers can embed any public posts on Facebook. We’re talking statuses, photos, links, and videos.
Embedded Facebook posts can be liked or shared directly from the site in which they’re embedded, and the embedded posts also allows readers to like the poster’s page and follow other posts from the author with a click on the upper right-hand drop-down button.

To embed a Facebook post on your site, simply click the top-right arrow on the post on Facebook and click “embed post.” From there, Facebook will generate a code that you can paste. For more on the actual embedding process, check here.
Since the beta launch, Facebook has made a handful of improvements to embedded posts. Now, videos in embedded posts will play back directly on websites. You can also access the embed code directly from the post when it’s embedded. Facebook also improved embedded posts on mobile, reducing the width for smaller screens.
Facebook’s a bit behind the curve here – at least in regards to Twitter, who first allowed users to embed tweets back in 2011. But with the move, Facebook content will no doubt find its way into thousands of blogs and websites, furthering the social network’s reach across the web.
