Facebook’s Instagram recently launched multiple account support for its mobile apps, and now the company’s Messenger app has received a similar feature on Android.

The company confirmed the addition of the feature in a statement to TechCrunch, saying, “Millions of people share phones with their family and friends. Until now, there hasn’t been an easy way for people to access their individual Messenger accounts from shared devices. To address this, we’ve launched a feature on Android to enable multiple people to log in and use Messenger from a single phone.”

The feature is reportedly available on a worldwide basis.

Facebook also confirmed to the publication that it is testing SMS integration in the app. This, however, is only available to a small number of U.S. Android users.

According to Facebook, over 800 million people use Messenger monthly. It’s the fastest-growing of the top smartphone apps.
