It’s that time of year, the time when everybody takes to social media to bitch about how their favorite show got snubbed. Unless you hop into a time travel machine, go back a few years, step outside and bitch about how The Wire got the shaft, just stop – your argument is invalid.
This year’s Emmy Nominations look to be a balance between previous favorites and new kids on the block. Okay, maybe not a “balance” as many of the nominees have been there before, but the Emmys definitely gave some love to some new shows.
Leading the charge with 17 total nominations is the sitcom Modern Family. I don’t watch that show, but I hear one of its actresses is quite the beauty.
A quick recap of the nominations –
Best Drama: Boardwalk Empire, Friday Night Lights, Mad Men, Games of Thrones, Dexter
Best Actress in a Drama: Kathy Bates – Harry’s Law, Connie Britton – Friday Night Lights, Mariska Hargitay – Law & Order SVU, Julianna Marguiles – The Good Wife, Elisabeth Moss – Mad Med, Mireille Enos – The Killing
