DuckDuckGo Has Doubled Its Daily Searches Over The Past Year
Written by Chris Crum

DuckDuckGo announced on Monday that it has broken its all-time high for traffic, reaching two million searchers per day.

It was just in February of last year that the company announced it hit 1 million:

DuckDuckGo keeps a running traffic data page here, displaying how much it gets each day. For Monday, it was 2,211,203 direct and 18,052,021 API (469,619 bot).

For comparison, Google is said to get a billion searches per day.

DuckDuckGo appeared on a list of 86 groups and companies that signed a letter denouncing the NSA’s spying program, which the EFF shares.
