Even though Capcom just launched a trailer yesterday showing off the amazing Ur-Dragon, the launch trailer just injects the world with even more awesome.

Like all launch trailers, it does its best to set up the story in Dragon’s Dogma while showing off the best the gameplay has to offer. We get to see the same battles set in giant open fields with various mythological beasts that we’ve seen for a while now. The exception this time is that it’s set to awesome music to get the hype moving.

The trailer also reminds you that this game is being made the top talent at Capcom. These are the same guys that worked on Resident Evil 4 and Devil May Cry 4. You know it’s going to be good in the action department. What’s even better is that the creator of Breath of Fire was brought on board to help conceptualize the world and the fantasy setting.

If you still need more convincing, they are quick to remind you that buying Dragon’s Dogma gives players early access to the Resident Evil 6 demo. Both games are looking pretty fantastic so it’s a win-win for gamers who want to get their hands on the latest chapter in the Resident Evil franchise. If you own both consoles, you might want to Xbox 360 since they get the demo first.

Dragon’s Dogma will be launching for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on May 22. It’s my most anticipated game of the year so I really hope it’s good. The combination of Japanese action with Western RPG mechanics is just too enticing to pass up.
