Fans of pop star Demi Lovato were expecting another one of her “No Makeup Monday” Instagram selfies on December 14, but got a different but probably better treat instead.
The “Confident” singer posted a family pic of sorts – featuring herself cuddling in bed with boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama and their new puppy Batman.
Lovato wore a smile on her face as she took the snapshot, which she captioned: “Slept in today so I didn’t post my #NMM picture BUT I thought I’d make it up now with a cute/sneaky family photo…” The couple, who have been dating on and off for almost five years, seem to have a fondness for taking sleeping photos of one another. Earlier this year, Demi Lovato posted a cute photo of Valderrama and their dog Buddy both snoozing on her lap. “My boys are really sleepy…And I’m the luckiest woman in the world,” said the photo’s caption.

However, the 35-year-old From Dusk Till Dawn actor managed to get his revenge last month when he took a stolen shot of Demi Lovato napping in bed next to him.
“It must be EXHAUSTING to be that #Confident… This lil angel created an inspirational & emotional journey… Then she sprinkled bad ass dust on it! GO GET #ConfidentOniTunes!” he wrote in the caption, also promoting his girlfriend’s new record.
After quite a rocky start in their relationship, Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama have been more candid about their relationship, which seem to be going smoothly these days. Last year, Demi Lovato called Valderrama “one of the most incredible people on the planet” and credited him on several occasions for supporting her through her past struggles with an eating disorder and alcoholism. On the 3rd anniversary of her sobriety, Demi Lovato dedicated a special post to her boyfriend, thanking him for his unwavering love and support.
For his part, Wilmer Valderrama sang his girlfriend’s praises, declaring that Demi Lovato is “on a path to mega-stardom” and will “redefine pop culture in a level that people can’t even expect.”
