Demi Lovato goes head to head with actress Michelle Rodriguez in her new music video “Confident.” The video begins with Demi Lovato in a maximum security prison. She’s granted a pardon, however, for turning in Rodriguez to a U.S. marshal.
Sent to set up the character portrayed by Michelle Rodriguez, Demi Lovato soon realizes the one she snitched on is on to her as well.
Demi Lovato breaks free as she is being brought back to prison. A fistfight between her and Rodriguez takes place as each realizes they’ve both been played by the marshal.
“Confident” follows up Demi Lovato’s hit single “Cool for the Summer.” Both singles will also appear on her upcoming album–also titled “Confident.”
Demi Lovato recently said her favorite track off her new album is “Stone Cold,” and she thinks it might even be Grammy material.
“I want the Grammy committee to hear [that song] so that one day they can see that–I know that I’m capable of getting there,” she said. “I watched the Grammy nominations last year, and I was like, ‘I want to be there so bad.’ It gave me that kick in the ass to make music that was worthy of it. This is a song that I feel like is worthy of notification.”
