Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling have been struggling to make their marriage work for months now. After Tori learned that Dean was cheating on her with another woman, she wasn’t sure if she would ever be able to forgive him. She decide that for the sake of her children she would give their relationship another try.

The couple’s fights and arguments have been playing out on the reality show True Tori, but Dean has had enough and earlier this month he announced that he would be quitting the show after he finished out the current season.

Dean recently made an appearance on NBC’s Today and said that his and Tori’s relationship is improving.

“We are in a better place than ever. Our love is stronger. We’re solid. We’re communicating. We’re actually having a fully functional relationship,” he said.

He also shared his reason for quitting the show.

“Don’t get me wrong. I’m not pooh-poohing the show and the whole experience I’ve had. I’ve learned a lot about myself, our relationship—it’s been a good process,” he said. “But as it goes and continues, it’s taking a toll on me. It’s not good for me. It’s different for everybody. If it works for T, that’s great, but I’m finding I’m having a hard time with it.”

“I want some of my privacy back. I think I’ve shared too much of my soul and my demons with strangers. As you know, with that comes positive and negative reactions. It’s just not a good space for me,” he added.

Dean said that although he has no intentions of appearing on another season of the show, he doesn’t mind if Tori continues with it and thinks that it may even help her deal with everything.

“If it helps her, absolutely,” he said. “I support her 100 percent.”

Will the show be the same without Dean?
