Danielle Milian, the sister of singer and actress Christina Milian, lost her baby boy Richie to omphalocele just hours after his birth on Tuesday.

Pouring out her heart on social media, Danielle Milian shared word of her baby--whom she named Richie--and his passing.

"Yesterday I was blessed with the birth of my Richie Bear. Unfortunately, last night he took his place with the Lord and we said goodbye. I so appreciate the prayers and support from everyone. He touched my heart and was perfect in so many ways," she captioned a photo of an imprint of a tiny hand over her heart.

Earlier, Danielle Milian shared word that her baby had arrived.

"Baby Richie has arrived! #prayersup for my #babyboy .. He is already a fighter! #moo #obaby," she captioned the shot of his tiny foot.

Danielle Milian learned during an ultrasound back in March that her baby had omphalocele. Organs in babies with this condition develop outside of the body.

"The tech said, 'I can't see the sex...because I am seeing...intestines,'" the Christina Milian Turned Up star recalled, explaining that her Richie's tiny stomach, gallbladder, spleen, and liver could be seen outside his torso. "I was told there's almost a 53 percent chance of mortality."

Doctors advised Danielle Milian and her husband Richard Dickerson to end the pregnancy.

"I said to [Richard], 'Could you live with this?' Because I know can. I know I could be in a hospital every day," Danielle Milian said in an interview with Us Weekly. "As a mother, I will do whatever it takes for my child...No matter how long he has in this world, I could not imagine taking his chance away."

Danielle Milian feared for a while that she might be to blame for her unborn baby's condition. She turned to support groups to help her throughout the duration of her pregnancy.

"These support groups have been really important for me," she said. "They have opened up my eyes [to realize] there is survival and that these children can thrive. I recently met a woman who's in her fifties who has survived this and doing well. That lets me know I've made the right decision."

Sadly, Danielle Milian and Richard Dickerson said goodbye to their precious baby just hours after his birth. And while they will mourn him for the rest of their lives, they know they gave him every chance possible.
